Student Council amends constitution for the first time since 2011

The Federated College Student Council’s (FCSC) Legislative Body had its meeting at the CatSU Conference room last July 10. Presided by, Marielle Noquiao, FCSC Vice President, the meeting discussed the revising of the council’s constitution and bylaws that was left unchanged for 10 years. Some amendments include; the provision of honorarium to the student council officers, redefining the powers and duties of the officers, several changes was also made on students’ welfare such as the bill of rights, right to due process, and freedom of expression among others. Amendments to the constitution and bylaws will be authored by the legislative body. These will likewise undergo few revisions, before finally brought to the student council and general assembly of the students for approval.


The members of the student council’s legislative body are; Lemuel Samme, Zuñiga Sarmiento, Arvie Estrelles, Criselle Cu, CJ Cabrera Mendoza, Mariel Mendoza, Liane Mariette Magno-Sales, Don Maico Arcilla, Mike Angelo Deang Tabinas, Warenz Jude Lopez, John Gabriell Solero and Andrian Rigo M. Vargas.
