In its quest to prepare the future Alumni of the Catanduanes State University in increasing participation of CatSU-sponsored programs in terms of numbers, geography and diversity, the Central Election was held yesterday, June 2, 2022 at the university gymnasium, specifically from the group of graduating students for the Academic Year 2021-2022.  The selection process was headed by the Alumni Relations Office, this University, led by Prof. Maricel S. Cariaso, and also through the Office of Student Support Services (OSSS) headed by its Director, Prof. John Cyrus B. Francis, as well as the Planning, Development and Information Systems Services Director, Engr. Benjamin Hannycel T. Nuyda.

The newly-elected Central Officers included Dr. Jose Zafe Tria of the Graduate School as President, Wendell Wayne R. Ramos of College of Agriculture & Fisheries (CAF) as Vice โ€“president, Shiela Mae G. Rodrigues of Graduate School as Secretary, Darlene Shayne T. Camu of the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) as Treasurer, Alpha Joyce Z. Rivera of the College of Business & Accountancy (CBA) as Auditor, Paolo G. Pagal of College of Health & Sciences (CHS), Czarina Faye Villamucho of College of Industrial Technology (CIT) and Ellen Joy V. Lopez of College of Engineering as Business Managers, Lemuel Sammie Z. Sarmiento of College of Industrial Technology (CIT) and Mikaela Joyce V. Torrente of the College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) as Peace Officers, Janessa S. Aguirre of CICT as Muse, Garner T. Del Valle of College of Education (CoEd) as escort, and Darlene Leila T. Able of CICT as Nightingale.

The new set of Officers were selected from amongst the representatives from each of the eight colleges, with the addition of the Graduate School. The election is aimed at ensuring the close coordination and connection of the officers soon after they graduate, in order to help in continuing the projects and ongoing programs designed to aid the different Alumni organizations, which also submits to the Federated Alumni Association.

Out of gratitude for the education received at Catanduanes State University and with hopes up in the value of public higher education, the newly elected set of Central officers is committed to continuous improvement of educational processes and rate of employability, through its support to the university, especially with Dr. Patrick Alain T. Azanza, SUC President at the helm. Also the association is committed to strengthening alumni relations in support of the universityโ€™s mission and Vision of HOPE. These include providing information about the University to alumni, encouraging and supporting CatSUโ€™s educational relationship with alumni, and engaging in variety of activities of interest to alumni and providing them with opportunities for service to their Alma Mater.
