In its aim to empower vulnerable
and marginalized communities, youth in need, development leaders, and young
professionals to restore dignity and improve their quality of life, SIPAG or
Simula ng Pag-asa, partnered with Catanduanes State University in organizing
the Youth Leadership Summit, a 3-day leadership and transformation program which
kicked off today, February 21, 2022 at the CatSU Auditorium.
The event was participated by
CatSU student leaders headed by Renz Mickenly T. Tanael, FCSC President and
Student Regent, Catanduanes Sangguniang kabataan Leaders, and Student
organizations such as Elevate Movement Inc. through its #NotAlone program,
Christian Values Movement, CCF Tulong Tayo, the Catanduanes Provincial Disaster
Risk Reduction Management Office, and assisted by the members of the Military in
the summitโs mobilization.
The first day was opened through
a prayer led by Pastor Alex Daraug, CCF Tulong Tayo Community Relations and was
welcomed by CatSU President, Dr. Patrick Alain T. Azanza. SIPAG was introduced
by no less than its Director, 2010 Miss Universe 4th Runner Up, Ms.
Venus Raj, who was also one of the dayโs resource persons. Topics about Vision,
Integrity, Path to Success and Servant Leadership were discussed by Mr. Weng Del
Rosario, Program Director of #NotAlone, Mr. Mark Ballesteros, and Mr. Bobby
Pates Jr., Head of Elevate Metro East Hub.
Included in the topics for the
next 2 days are Relationship Goals, Anxiety and Depression, Good Citizenship,
Disaster Preparedness, and Love for the Nation.
SIPAG stands for Simula ng
Pag-asa, a non-profit, Non-Government Organization with its core values focused on care love for
God and family, service to community, respect for human dignity, and adherence
to the law. Ms Venus Raj thanked CatSU in its partnership and unwavering support.
โWe are looking forward to seeing the 200 participants from the student
organization of CATSU and the SK leaders all over Catanduanes. We are also
excited how this event will encourage and mold our future leadersโ, Ms Raj
