Gregorio V. Angeles, Jr., CatSU alumnus and currently hired as Instructor I at
Catanduanes State University- Panganiban Campus was awarded the 2022 Outstanding
Young Achiever during the International Leaders and Achievers Award (ILAA).
This recognizes Mr. Angeles’ commendable achievements and admirable
contributions in addressing global issues as well as the emerging challenges of
today through his effective role as facilitator of learning and young
accomplished leader in his own field of expertise.
The ILAA is the 5th international conference conducted by the International Education Olympiad Foundation (IEOF) and Society for Perpetuation of Art, Culture & Education (SPACE). Basically, it aims to recognize and appreciate effective leadership and achievement in various fields both for an organization or institution as well as individual professionals- in all professional areas. It likewise serves as a venue for participants to exhibit their work and outreach their message to a variety of audience worldwide. The highlight of the event is the online conference on the theme, “Effective Leadership in Contemporary Times: Issues and Challenges.” It was followed by the awarding ceremony where Mr. Angeles was given with Outstanding Professional Leadership certificate together with other acclaimed young leaders.
An opportunity like the ILAA was never new to Mr. Angeles, as it can be noted that he was previously given a resolution of commendation from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan as the country’s representative in Sustainable Development Goal 5th Anniversary Online Youth Conference by the United Nations. He was also part of various international and national organizations such as the Institute of Global Professionals, Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE), Scientific and Professional Orgzanizations, Philippine Association of Extensuon Program Implementors, Inc (PAEPI) and Biology Teachers Association of the Philippines BIOTA).
A high achiever he is, Mr. Angeles continues to be an effective leader by being committed in public service, attending trainings and seminars for professional development and career advancement and being actively engaged in community services as he was also designated as the CatSU-PC extension coordinator.
In an FB post, Mr. Angeles, acknowledged everyone who supported him throughout his journey. “I want to share with you this award that really inspires me to be a Young Leader/Achiever; motivate me to continue the passion of leading people, serving the LORD and further, enhance my professional engagement as a government servant of the Catanduanes State University and a proud Payonhon that we can put our happy island in global arena as we embark growth and development of the country.”
Angeles further said that he is proud to present his award with full dedication and support to those who really believe that he can be a better version of himself. “Thanks to all those who knows my capabilities and limitations. Still grateful Lord, with you who loves me,” he added. #GZafe
