The
Catanduanes State University Gender and Development Services (GDS) supports the
Philippine Commission on Women on the national observance of the 2021 18-Day
Campaign to End Violence Against Women.
Today,
November 25, the GDS office of the university, led by its GAD Focal Person,
Prof. Melinda V. Abichuela and GMMS Focal Person, Ms. Sarah Jane F. Gianan,
welcomed CatSU employees as they visit the prepared exhibit located at CatSU
Main Campus Administration Building lobby. The exhibit includes brochures and
flyers made available to the public for information about Violence Against
Women.
This
year's campaign highlights the Republic Act 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act, both
for the general public and the institutions that are mandated to implement the
law. This activity will last until December 12, 2021.
In
closing, this yearâs focus for 2021 supports the slogan Filipino Marespeto;
Safe Spaces, Kasali Tayo. #cvecilles
