The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) turned over medicines to Catanduanes State University on October 15, 2021. PCSO Representative Anjo De Leon handed over the donations to Dr. Patrick Alain T. Azanza in a simple ceremony held at the Main Campus Lobby.

The ceremonial turn over marks another significant milestone that shall strengthen the resiliency program and organizational preparations of CatSU being pushed by SUC President Azanza. Dr. Felix Ma III serves as the Head of the Disaster Preparedness Committee. Donations turned over form part of the initial batch from PCSO after CatSU was listed as beneficiaries upon the Presidentโ€™s call for donations. These are kept under the custody of the University Medical Services.

The President announced that medical equipment and an ambulance are also expected to follow as part of his requested assistance. The president is hopeful for the arrival of the next batch of donations.

โ€œWe are thanking PCSO for the unwavering support extended to CatSU and to the Catandunganonsโ€, he further emphasized.

PCSO is a government-owned and controlled corporation under the auspices of the Office of the President. The office is mandated to raise fund to be able to provide financial support to the government's health programs and extend medical assistance and services to the needy Filipinos, and charities of national character.  #CVecilles
