Along with Catanduanes State
University's (CatSU) commitment to organic agriculture, the university received
from the DA-BSWM close to 1M worth of Composting Facility Package on October 5,
2021. In particular, the College of Agriculture and Fisheries of the university
shall utilize the donated package for its instruction, research, extension
purposes as well as future projects.
The donation process was
initiated by BSWM Director, Engr. Pablo M. Montalla and facilitated by Private
Sector Regent Luzviminda Teston- Oropesa. Together with Dr.Azanza in receiving
the Composing Facility Package were VP- Administrative and Financial Affairs,
Dr. Edna R. Iñigo; VP- Academic Affairs, Dr. Lily P. Custodio; and VP-
Research, Extention and Production Affairs- Dr. Ramon Felipe A. Sarmiento.
It can be remembered that Dr. Azanza emphasized the need of collaborating with other government agencies and stakeholders to provide the best opportunities for every Catandunganon. He likewise stressed that this donation will be of help to CatSU in serving the community.
