Soon after his installation to presidency,
Dr. Azanza braved the storms of providing aid to the students in terms of
learning mode challenges at this time of pandemic, by publicly announcing his
call for help from the private and various sectors of the society to donate
learning gadgets specifically tablets to the most needy students of the
university. He was open to saying that under his administration, receiving SOPs
from contractors and suppliers is not his cup of tea. Instead he encouraged
them to donate so that the students will benefit from it. The response was
overwhelming that pledges came in one after the other.
On September 6, 2021, the first batch was distributed to the students from the Main campus. And on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, fifteen (15) recipients from the (CatSU) Panganiban Campus students received theirs. Prof. Cyrus John B. Francis, Office of the Student Support Services Director, along with Hon. Renz Mickenly T. Tanael, Student Regent and Federated College Student Council president, represented Dr. Azanza in the distribution of the tablets. CatSU Panganiban key officials were also present to witness the momentous event.
In his message, Prof. Francis imparted that despite the pandemic challenges, the students are lucky to receive gifts/blessings from different individuals from the local communities who strongly support the projects of our SUC President III in coordination with the Student Regent. “Let this gift be an inspiration to perform well in academics - sa padagos na patanos kita makakahale sa pagtios - We are lucky to have The Man of the Hour and The Working President of CatSU supporting student welfare”, he said. Working together make things greater, leads and attracts positivity and blessings for everyone”, he added.
Meanwhile, Hon. Tanael shared his message of inspiration to his fellow students and said, “let’s continue to strive hard in our studies, and remember that we are the voice of the university - it won’t exist without us, and it is the duty of the officials to prioritize programs and its implementation for the benefit of the students, for better and greater education and a bright tomorrow.
He also announced that the good news doesn’t stop from receiving the free tablets, but that load will also be available, apart from the 27 learning centers that is equipped with VSAT wifi connection. The provision of health insurance for students was also discussed briefly which brought everyone to teary eyes.

OIC – Campus Director thanked Dr. Azanza for the smart initiative, and all the donors
for the assistance extended. He reminded the student recipients and their
parents to take good care of the learning aid provided, and encouraged them to
never stop learning and striving, because despite the world’s current health
crisis, there are still many good-hearted individuals who are very much willing
