With the continuous challenge of education learning mode in the middle of a world health crisis, the College of Education conducted a Seminar workshop on Module writing and Flexible learning, August 10, 2021 held at the Queen Maricel Inn, San Isidro Village, Virac. The seminar workshop focused on discussion about applying the practical usage of different concepts of different famous education authorities and its importance in module writing, as well as flexible learning that also included the project-based science of Blumenfeld (1991), Understanding by Design by Wiggins (1996), Learning by Doing by Piaget (1960), Proof upon Practice by Skinner (1945), Assessment in Teaching 21st Century skills by Griffin (2011), Zone of Proximal Development by Vygotsky (1962), Discovery Learning by Bruner (1961), Criterion-referenced measurement by Galser (1963) and Disciplined Learning by Levstik and Barton (2001).
It was stressed that they must be implemented to teach students well in negotiating with collaborative groups and establishing multiple forms of performance assessments. Dr. Maria S. Tugano, Dean of the College of Education led the event, with fellow educators present. Resource speaker was Prof. Jose Z. Tria. Meanwhile, Prof. John Cyrus B.
