TESDA Cabugao School of Handicraft and Cottage Industries Administrator Elpidio Tuburo convened the members of the Advisory Council today for its first meeting in Cabugao, Bato, Catanduanes. The meeting was presided by the Chairman, Mr. Antonio Jimenez, PLDC Bank Manager, and focused on talks about process enhancement to ensure that students enrolled in TESDA courses will be highly employable after trainings.
Mr. Antonio noted that the Council intends to review its education agenda and the development of a work plan of strategies to enhance industry participation, address emerging issues brought by the ongoing pandemic, and other technological transformations. He added that with the close tie-ups with cooperative development authority and the support from the government agencies such as the Agriculture and Tourism sector, there will be an entrepreneurial community.
Dr. Patrick Alain T. Azanza, CatSU President and also Council Member was invited and took the opportunity to discuss about the Agro-Industrial Economic and Processing zone before the council. According to the President, the grand project, along with partnership with TESDA will create an impact in changing the lives of Catandunganons, making them more economically strengthened. He added that he is now opening the doors of the Catanduanes State University for possible partnerships, not just with TESDA.
Mr. Tuburo conveyed his support, thanked the President and said this is the first time that he had seen clear directions for CatSU and is hopeful for technological revolution and employment landscape for graduates. "With the great leadership of Dr. Azanza, we shall build our capacities and establish effective education system to create impact and build better future for our beloved students,” he said.
Also present were Mr. Danilo Lucero representing TVIs, Engr. Elsie Reyes, Prov Planning Officer, Mr. Rommel Pitajen, Deped Senior High School Department represented by Mr Aguilar, and Mr. Frank Bonyales, representing the Tourism Sector. #cvecilles
