The Center of Climate Change Solution in the Pacific Islands (CCCSPI) is the University’s Unit that formulates framework strategy on climate change to serve as the basis for climate change planning and monitoring, research and development, and extension. The center also focuses on key development investments in the University Climate Change Mitigation such as water resources, agriculture, forestry, coastal and marine resources, health and infrastructure.
Climatic-related perils appear to be an everyday reality which people in various economic strata and all ages all over the world need to navigate. It is for these reasons that climate-triggered risk reduction measures are becoming imperatives in planning for community development, land-use, structural engineering, business ventures and other technological innovations
Catanduanes State University as the only state university in the island province of Catanduanes has compelling reasons to take in hand issues and concerns known to be pervasive in the island province, but likewise felt across regions and societies. The Catanduanes State University, being the premier learning institution in the province, could exercise its primary role of providing quality and relevant education and training; generate information and technologies with communities towards policy formulation and solutions to mitigate, prevent and develop adaptive schemes to climate related impacts.

Its goal is to serve as a center and platform of researches, policy and relevant developmental solutions and recommendations to combat the global threat on climate change, for the betterment of lives of communities in the Pacific Islands.
